This May, we celebrated the inaugural National Adolescent Health Month (NAHM) with grantee programs, key federal and non-federal partners, and youth around the country. NAHM emphasized the importance of building on young people’s strengths and potential, encouraging and supporting meaningful youth engagement in adolescent health activities, and highlighting key topics in adolescent health.
Thanks to your support, important messages from each of NAHM’s four weekly themes reached public health officials, healthcare providers, other youth-serving professionals, parents, and youth. On Twitter, more than 70 different accounts tweeted the two NAHM hashtags (#NationalAdolescentHealthMonth and #HealthyYouthNAHM) a total of 1,200 times! And more than 50,000 people read the OPA Bulletins.
