Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program Implementation Study

The Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program Implementation Study (TPP20 Evaluation) evaluated how Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) grant recipients awarded in 2020 and 2021 developed and implemented a systems-thinking approach (Tier 1) or a multidisciplinary network to explore, develop, test, refine, and evaluate innovative new interventions (Tier 2) to prevent teen pregnancy and reduce rates of sexually transmitted infections. The purpose of the study was to understand:

  • Factors that influenced implementation,
  • Challenges grant recipients encountered, and
  • Factors that facilitated success.

The Office of Population Affairs (OPA) contracted with Abt Associates and its partners, Decision Information Resources (DIR) and Data Soapbox, to evaluate Tier 1 and Tier 2 strategies from September 2021 through April 2026. Read an overview of this study.
