Reproductive health care is an essential part of health and well-being. Find information and resources on access to and insurance coverage of reproductive health care.
Family planning includes a broad range of services related to achieving pregnancy, preventing pregnancy, and assisting women, men, and couples with achieving their desired number and spacing of children. Federally funded Title X family planning clinics offer free or low-cost sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and contraceptive services for all who want and need them. By law, priority is given to persons from low-income families. Adolescents and others can find a Title X funded clinic by Zip Code.
Sexually transmitted infections (STIs), also called sexually transmitted diseases or STDs, can be passed from one person to another during sex. Some STIs and related conditions are caused by bacteria or parasites, while other STIs are viral and can be prevented with vaccines. Locate a clinic that offers low-cost HIV testing and prevention counseling, STI testing, and vaccines to prevent infections, such as the human papillomavirus (HPV) and hepatitis.

Services for Pregnant and Parenting Teens
The federally funded Title V program seeks to improve the health of all mothers and children (including children with special health care needs), by assessing needs, setting priorities, and providing programs and services. Home visiting programs provide health, child protection, early education, and social services based on the needs of a family. Nurses, social workers, and other professionals meet with at-risk families in their homes, evaluate the families’ circumstances, and connect families to the services that they need in areas such as health care, child development, parenting skills, child abuse prevention, and nutrition.
