Intervention Name: Are You Ready? Rigorous Evaluation Study

Project Overview: Institute of Women & Ethnic Studies (IWES), with Policy & Research Group (PRG) serving as its independent evaluator, will rigorously evaluate the Are You Ready? intervention within a randomized control trial in the states of Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, and Michigan. Are You Ready? is an entertainment-education sexual risk reduction intervention based on a narrative short film developed through a subaward from PRG, a recipient of an OPA TPP20 Tier 2 Innovation and Impact Network grant award that funded a Juvenile Justice Innovation & Impact Network (JJIIN). In addition to the film, the intervention package includes a facilitation guide and a youth workbook with a resource guide. IWES aims to affirm the intervention’s efficacy and will disseminate findings and lessons learned from the research to contribute to the growing evidence base of entertainment-education innovations.
