Program Summary

Project Name: Teen HYPE (Helping Youth by Providing Education) Promise 2.0 Initiative

Project Overview: Teen HYPE (Helping Youth by Providing Education) is a positive youth development program that has successfully empowered and educated youth in Detroit since 2004. Teen HYPE will deliver the Promise 2.0 Initiative in Detroit, Michigan. The Promise 2.0 Initiative aims to improve sexual and reproductive health outcomes, promote positive youth development, and advance health equity for adolescents, families, and their communities. The Promise 2.0 Initiative project will consist of several components: 1) three evidence-based programs (EBPs), 2) the Promise Collaborative/Youth Advisory Council, 3) Teen HYPE’s engaging website and family resource guide, 4) teacher/host engagement event, and 5) a ParentHOOD Podcast. Teen HYPE and its partners will implement EBPs in adolescent clinics, schools, and community-based organizations.
