Program Summary

Project Name: OIC of South Florida Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program

Project Overview: OIC of South Florida (OIC) will partner with an implementation partner, nine adolescent-friendly support services (AFSS) partners, and a performance measurement and continuous quality improvement partner to replicate medically accurate and age-appropriate evidence-based teen pregnancy prevention programs (EBPs) and services. The project will serve four populations at high risk for pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs): 1) middle and high school youth, 2) youth in foster care, 3) juvenile justice-involved youth, and 4) community-based youth within eight zip codes in Broward County. 

Community(ies) Served: Broward County zip codes 33311, 33060, 33069, 33004, 33020, 33316, 33064, 33309

Target Population: Youth aged 10-21, who are predominantly Black (56.6%) and Hispanic (38.4%) and face health and socioeconomic disparities

Geographic Area Served (Urbanicity of Community): Broward County, FL (Urban)

Average Anticipated Number of Youth Served Annually: 3,300
