Program Summary
Project Name: Puerto Rico Optimal System Change (PROSa)
Project Overview: Nexos Group, Inc. will work in partnership with with existing community partners - Coalición de Prevención Moroveña, Inc., Sor Isolina Ferre Centers, Inc., and Urban Strategies, LCD - to implement Puerto Rico Optimal System Change (PROSa), a collective impact, community engagement, and systems thinking approach to improving the health of youth and their families and reducing teen pregnancy. Through PROSa, Nexos Group and their partners will provide increased access to comprehensive, youth- friendly sexual health services in seven counties in Puerto Rico with disproportionately high rates of teen birth and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Throughout, PROSa will ensure meaningful engagement of youth, families, and caregivers to ensure that the communities themselves inform activities and efforts, such as Gnzrs-Advzrs, Youth Town Hall Meetings, Photovoice, Family Champions, Youth Financial Coaching Initiatives, and Social Media. PROSa will directly reach at least 5,500 youth and 940 caregivers, school staff, and other community key stakeholders over 5 years.
