Program Summary

Project Name: Foothill Family Teen Inspired Project

Project Overview: Foothill Family Service’s Teen Inspired Project will work with the community, teen, and caregiver partners in the San Gabriel Valley and Pomona Valley regions to rigorously evaluate, select, and implement high quality evidence-based practices (EBPs) best suited to meet the sexual and reproductive health and mental health needs of their youth. Central to Teen Inspired is the creation of Community and Youth Advisory Councils, who will serve as key partners in this effort. Teen Inspired will work collaboratively with these partners to evaluate and select high-quality EBPs for implementation, train community partner staff on the selected EBPs, establish robust implementation plans for each partner site, and conduct ongoing program evaluation throughout implementation. Through this collaborative approach, the communities’ youth will become motivated stakeholders with increased knowledge about sexual and reproductive health outcomes, youth will have equity in access to age-appropriate health services, and the partnerships convened through this project will be sustained into the future. Teen Inspired aims to reach 5,080 youth annually.
