Program Summary

Project Name: Fit Kids Teen Pregnancy Prevention Project

Project Overview: Fit Kids of America Corp. (FK) will partner with five adolescent-friendly support service partners and a performance measurement and continuous quality improvement partner to deliver medically accurate and age-appropriate evidence-based teen pregnancy prevention programs (EBPs) and services. These programs will be implemented in schools, community-based sites, faith-based sites, and with juvenile justice-involved youth in five zip codes serving populations with the greatest needs. FK’s Teen Pregnancy Prevention Project aims to reach 6,075 youth and 1,850 parents over 5 years.  

Community(ies) Served: Schools, community-based sites, faith-based sites, and settings serving juvenile justice-involved youth in five zip codes within Miami Dade County 

Target Population: Youth ages 10-19 who are predominantly Hispanic (68.1%) and Black (17.4%) who face health and socio-economic disparities.
