Program Summary

Project Name: Austin Healthy Adolescent Project (AHAP)

Project Overview: Austin Healthy Adolescent Project (AHAP) will take a multi-level approach to engage youth ages 10-24 in Austin, Texas’ District 4 (D4) community. AHAP will engage with youth, families, and communities to ensure the information youth are gaining through program implementation is supported, celebrated, and sustained in their daily lives. AHAP’s goals are to reduce teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) among D4 youth and to advance health equity for D4 youth and families through supportive services that include parent/caregiver engagement, mental health services, and youth leadership development.

Target Population: Youth ages 10-24 in Austin, Texas’ District 4 (D4). D4’s population is 59% Hispanic/Latino, 26% White, and 8% Black.
