Program Summary
Project Name: 2THRIVE Initiative
Project Overview: Campesinos Sin Fronteras/Farmworkers without Borders (CSF) will implement the 2THRIVE Initiative (2THRIVE) in Yuma County, Arizona across the San Luis, Somerton, and Yuma communities. These communities are largely Hispanic-Latino, Spanish-speaking, and low income with high rates of unemployment and uninsured. Taking a health equity approach, 2THRIVE will implement evidence-based programs with youth and parents/caregivers to improve sexual and reproductive health and promote positive youth development in three settings: schools, the juvenile justice system, and the community (church, recreation, and other community-based settings). 2THRIVE will utilize a holistic approach to leverage partnerships and incorporate youth and community voice through engagement with a Youth Council, the local community health center, and the Adolescent Wellness Network advisory group. 2THRIVE will supplement its evidence-based program delivery through a Summer Youth Leadership Institute and conferences with youth and parents. 2THRIVE aims to serve 1,520 youth and parents/caretakers annually.
