OPA Awards $3.7 Million in Grants to Conduct Evaluation of Promising Interventions to Prevent Teen Pregnancy and Achieve Optimal Health

The Office of Population Affairs at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is awarding a total of $3,714,317 for four new grants to organizations to conduct rigorous evaluation of promising interventions (TPP Tier 2 Phase II). The four new FY2020 Tier 2 Phase II grantees are: Child Trends, Inc., Children's Hospital Corporation, Public Health Management Corporation, and Urban Strategies, LLC. Funded grantees will rigorously evaluate promising interventions that could contribute to adolescent optimal health, prevent teen pregnancy, and reduce sexually transmitted infection rates. The grants start on July 15, 2020 for a three-year project period. The four grantees will implement grant projects in communities across three states: California, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.
