Program Summary
South Dakota Department of Health's Family Planning Program (SDFPP) is a state agency that has been a statewide grant recipient since the 1970s. SDFPP delivers services to approximately 4,000 clients annually through a mix of direct service sites and subrecipients. As a Title X recipient, SDFPP provides a broad range of family planning services, including pregnancy prevention and birth spacing, pregnancy testing and counseling, assistance to achieve pregnancy, basic infertility services, sexually transmitted infection (STI) services, and other preconception health services. The services are voluntary, confidential, and provided regardless of ability to pay.
