Program Summary

Essential Access Health (Essential Access) is California's only Title X grantee and has been the primary Title X family planning services grantee in the state since the 1970s. Essential Access delivers services to approximately 500,000 persons per year through 53 subrecipients. As a Title X recipient, Essential Access provides a broad range of family planning services, including pregnancy prevention and birth spacing, pregnancy testing and counseling, assistance to achieve pregnancy, basic infertility services, sexually transmitted infection (STI) services, and other preconception health services. The services are voluntary, confidential, and provided regardless of ability to pay.
