HHS Awards $7.9M to Support the Reproductive Health National Training Center

The HHS Office of Population Affairs (OPA, in collaboration with the Office of Women’s Health, is awarding $7.9 million in grant funding to JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. to support the Reproductive Health National Training Center (RHNTC). The RHNTC provides training, technical assistance, and educational opportunities to ensure that personnel working in OPA-funded Title X and TPP projects have the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to effectively deliver high-quality services and programs.

For the fifth and final year of funding, the RHTNC is receiving:

  • $4 million to provide training and technical assistance for Title X recipients on meeting Title X expectations and providing high-quality family planning services;
  • $1.5 million to providing training and technical assistance for TPP recipients on effective implementation of evidence-based programs and development of new and innovative approaches; and
  • $2.4 million to provide training and technical assistance to both Title X and TPP recipients on preventing maternal mortality, improving women and girls’ health, and infertility.
