Program Summary

Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas (PPGT) leads a statewide network of Title X–funded Planned Parenthood health centers operating collectively as Planned Parenthood of Texas (PPTX). The PPTX network includes PPGT health centers as well as health centers belonging to the subrecipients Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast and Planned Parenthood South Texas. All three organizations have provided family planning (FP) services in Texas since the 1930s. As a Title X recipient, PPTX provides a broad range of FP services, including pregnancy prevention and birth spacing, pregnancy testing and counseling, assistance to achieve pregnancy, basic infertility services, sexually transmitted infection (STI) services, and other preconception health services. The services are voluntary, confidential, and provided regardless of ability to pay.
