Program Summary

Project Name: YMCA Healthy Relationships Project - Love Notes Initiative

Project Overview: YMCA of Greater Louisville will replicate The Dibble Institute’s Love Notes 3.0 Evidence-Based Program Model (EBP) in schools within the west Louisville community to reach 1,750 adolescents annually, tackling teen pregnancy prevention within the context of healthy relationships, healthy actions, and equitable health within the community. The initiative will also develop a supplemental Love Notes Parent Training and Love Notes Peer Educator Training. The project will provide supplemental training to parents and use trained Love Notes Peer Facilitators to deliver the curriculum. The approach targets the longstanding YMCA teen programs and area schools serving the adolescents who are most at risk with proven curriculum, links to multiple community support systems, and purposeful and integrated YMCA access and memberships as part of their prevention and health goals.
