Project Name: Connect Spartanburg
Project Overview: The Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System Foundation will implement the Optimally Changing the Map for Teen Pregnancy Prevention in Spartanburg project to prevent risk- taking behaviors and promote optimal adolescent health in Spartanburg County. The project will increase protective factors to achieve optimal health through proven effective curricula that target youth and families/caregivers including: Nu-Culture; Love Notes; AIM4Teen Pregnancy; Sisters, Informing, Healing, Living, Empowering; Aban Aya; Seventeen Days; Sexual Health and Adolescent Risk Prevention; Teen Outreach Program®; and Teen Triple P. By targeting youth and their families, the project will increase the coordination and effectiveness of their efforts to promote healthy youth development in schools, communities, and anchor institutions. The project aims to serve almost 6,000 youth annually.
