Program Summary

Project Overview: Project Vida Health Center (PVHC), in partnership with Canutillo Independent School District (Canutillo ISD), will implement Reducing the Risk (RtR) through the Teen Wellness Initiative at two high schools within Canutillo ISD. This initiative is a holistic approach to adolescent’s health and wellbeing that seeks to reduce teenage pregnancy, its behavioral risk factors, and other associated risk factors. The initiative seeks to reduce risk factors and increase protective factors by focusing on wellness and the overall well-being of students and their families. The program will provide youth leadership, outreach activities, communication and dissemination of program activities, parental education sessions, and in-school primary and mental health services.
