Project Name: Think, Relate, Understand; Self-efficacy to Thrive Project(TRUST)

Project Overview: PRO Youth and Families, Inc.’s Think, Relate, Understand; Self-efficacy to Thrive (TRUST) Project will implement the proven effective curriculum Love Notes to justice-involved youth aged 12-18 in Sacramento and Placer Counties, California. The project aims to increase self-efficacy among justice-involved youth, in particular Latinx and Black youth, to achieve optimal health and result in reduced rates of adolescent pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). In addition to implementing Love Notes, the project will provide coordinated support to facilitate youth’s access to health services and provide meaningful youth engagement opportunities. The TRUST Project will also incorporate youth-led community engagement strategies to ensure youth and community participation in program planning, implementation, and evaluation. PRO Youth and Families will integrate the TRUST Project within its current programs and networks (including county probation offices, juvenile justice chaplaincy programs, and restorative justice programs) to reach 625 youth per year.
