TPP Grantee Type: Replicating Effective Programs to Prevent Teen Pregnancy (TPP19 Tier 1) – 2019-2021

Project Overview: Bethany Christian Services of Georgia will offer the FosTTRE (Fostering Teens Through Relationship Education) program to teens ages 15-19 currently or previously served by Georgia’s Division of Family and Children Services and Department of Juvenile Justice. FosTTRE will implement the Love Notes Sexual Risk Avoidance (SRA) curriculum, an evidence-based sexual risk avoidance curriculum that covers topics including physical development, sexual risks, healthy relationships, and abstinence. FosTTRE lessons will be facilitated in person and via webinar by contract trainers with oversight by the program’s director and Teen Engagement Advocate (TEA). One graduate from the FosTTRE program will serve as a peer mentor during each on-site lesson. Participants will also be contacted at least once per quarter by the TEA for a minimum of 12 months after completing the program to reinforce the information and skills taught and offer resources and support if needed.
